Dave Maurer!

Maurer started working in radio in 1967. He joined WSGW in 1979 and has anchored morning newscasts on Newsradio 790 consistently for the past 28 years. He serves as both News and Program Director for the station which has been a National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Award nominee twice. In 2001 Maurer was also named Operations Director for all five stations in Saginaw.
Dave is a member and past president of the Michigan Associated Press Broadcasters Association Board of Directors. He served six years on the National Associated Press Broadcasters Board. He also has served on a number of committees for the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. He is a member of the Radio Television News Directors Association.
Maurer is chairman of the Saginaw County Crime Prevention Council's Law Enforcement and Media Committee. He is also a member of the Bay County Local Emergency Planning Committee, and Saginaw County Image Alliance Marketing Committee.
His education includes a Bachelors Degree from Saginaw Valley State University where he became the university's first Interdisciplinary Honors graduate. Dave also has participated in many professional development conferences and he is a frequent guest lecturer and speaker.
