CHERRY FUDGE CHEESECAKE

1 pkg Betty Crocker original supreme brownie mix with chocolate syrup pouch
3 T butter or margarine, melted
16 oz cream cheese
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 can cherry pie filling

Combine 1 1/2 cups of the dry brownie mix with the butter and press into a springform pan or 9 inch square pan.  Cream the cream cheese for 2 minutes with an electric mixer.  Add the rest of the brown mix and cream and chocolate syrup pouch and pour over the crust.   Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes in the springform pan or 35-40 minutes in the square pan.  Let cool 20 minutes then top with the pie filling.  Chill two hours before serving.
