Suspect Charged In Home Invasion, Copper Theft

A 38-year-old Saginaw man faces 11felony charges in connection with a home invasion on North 23rd Street in Buena Vista Township.   Andrey Jones was arraigned on the charges Friday morning in Saginaw County's 70th District Court. The charges include assault with intent to do great bodily harm, first degree home invasion, possesion of burglary tools and felony firearms charges.

Buena Township Police detectives say Jones fired at least one shot as the homeowner was unlocking her back door Thursday. The bullet went through the door, narrowly missing the woman's leg.  Jones was in the house east of Saginaw stealing cooper tubing and other plumbing fixtures.  He fled the house on bicycle belonging to the woman's son.  Jones was arrested near South 20th and Janes Streets, in Saginaw, a short time later.
