Tuition To Climb 13 Percent At Grand Valley State

ALLENDALE, Mich. (AP) - Tuition at Grand Valley State University will increase by about 13 percent next fall.     The university's governing board approved the increase Friday.  A full-time, state resident undergraduate will pay about $8,196 a year under the new tuition rate plan. That's up from $7,240 last year.

Michigan's public universities are raising tuition in large part because state tax aid has held steady or been reduced in recent budget years.
